Activision has officially announced Guitar Hero World Tour, which is sure to give Rock Band a run for its money. We heard about the game about a week ago in the newest Game Informer, but Activision today made an official announcement. Of course, the game will be released on Wii, and the company developing it has a surprise for all you Wii gamers - Downloadable content. Sure, it'll probably cost you a pretty penny (well, maybe more than one cent, but you get the idea), though it's sure to be well worth it. Of course, while we're all excited about DLC, we'd all probably be angry at the publisher if they didn't include it!

Oh, and did I mention that it comes with a guitar, a drums set and a microphone? Hmm, I guess I've left that bit of information out! Yes, as I just said, it comes with three instruments. It's in now way revolutionary, as Rock Band, which is also coming out on Wii (probably sooner than this title) also inclues those three instruments... Don't you remember a time when Guitar Hero was actually considered innovative? Yeah, I'm not surprised if you don't...

P.S. - I'm voting for Guitar Hero on the poll simply because it features downloadable content while Rock Band... well, doesn't!
