At first I'm sure most of you took this news with a grain of salt, though it has now been confirmed via a high res scan of Coro Coro magazine that Pokémon Platinum is in the making, and will be released in Japan in September. The mascot, as we all suspected, is Giratina, and the new issue shows off its origin form. The male trainer's costume has been turned blue, and its expected that a similar change will occur with the female trainer.

Rumor has it that if you preorder the game in Japan, all players will receive an egg containing a Shinx that has the levitate ability, though recent information may have disputed this.
